of streets and small alleys with atmospheric bazaars and historical
sites alongside a modern marina and harbour with vibrant nightlife,
shopping centres, restaurants and trendy beach clubs. A wealth
of Mythology and History, spectacular scenery, outlined with sandy
beaches and a coastline with many hidden coves and bays.

including boat trips, scuba and snorkeling, ancient wreck diving,
water-skiing and parasailing. If you enjoy your history, then
The Bodrum Underwater Museum of Archaeology in The Bodrum Castle
is a must see. See below for more details of what Bodrum has to
offer.
Bodrum Castle
is one of Bodrum’s most recognizable landmarks. The castle
is also one of the world’s finest museums of underwater
archeology housed in the superb 15th century castle built by the
Knights of St. John of Rhodes. The world’s oldest known
shipwreck exhibition is now open. Inside, there are courtyards
where you can have tea, or feed the white peacocks, the shady
courtyard is littered with antiquities dating back before Christ’s
birth. The area known as the northern moat just outside the main
gate is used as a huge theater which hosts recording artists from
all over the world. Most famous is Bodrum’s annual Jazz
Festival. This star attraction rates a ‘must see’
on everyone’s list.

creative and exiting experience. It is a trip into a fascinating

who built this castle from stones that once were part of one of
the Seven Wonders of the ancient World: The Mausoleum of Halicarnasus.
Shopping:
Shopping through the historical narrow streets of Bodrum between
the white walls is a pleasure you must try. The Turkish crafts
make it impossible to resist buying something. The most popular
objects for the holiday maker are of course carpets; but the varied
leather, copper and bronze wares, silver and gold, handicrafts
and embroidery, and the famous Turkish meerschaum and onyx are
on many peoples' lists. If it is more your style then shopping
